introduction
For me, sculpture in stone is a game of form, matter, rhythm and space in flowing lines. This creates a freedom to work in both figurative and abstract forms. Types of stones in which I work are marble, diabass, alabaster, soapstone, sand stone and various types of serpentine.
I was born in Losser in 1948 and I now live in Zwolle, where I have my own studio with an exhibition space at home. In addition to my studies at the Free Academy of Fine Arts in Nunspeet from 1997 to 2002 (specializing in modeling and sculpture), I have taken several courses in ceramic design, sculpture, and bronze casting.
Member of the sculptor collective Metamorfe2000 in Nunspeet and the sculpture group Beernink in Hattem.
Another activity of mine is making earrings from everyday objects.
